Hey, my people! Happy Thursday! I hope you’re all having a great day. I’m here with a post that I hope will help many of you that are looking to be more consistent with your writing. For most of us, we don’t have a lot of free time. Therefore, finding time to write, create, vlog, etc. often seems like a task that is impossible to complete. However, I’d like to introduce you to the world of batch blogging. Ta-da!
When thinking batch blogging, think baking! When you bake cookies or cupcakes, you don’t just bake one cookie or cupcake. The same goes for batch blogging. You have to make time to blog. Have a day in your schedule with a certain amount of time that is dedicated to writing blogs. If you create in other ways, the same rule applies. So whether you need to record, take pictures, etc. find a day and time that will work for you and go from there. Once you’ve scheduled a day and time that will work for you, decide how many batch blogs you will create each time. For me, a good number is about three. From there I plan what I want to write about, I write about three blogs on my chosen topics and then I schedule when the content will go live.
Yes! Many websites have features that allow you to schedule when you want content on your site released. You can also schedule an upload on a platform like YouTube. You’ll of course need to map out how often you want to blog, and then from there you will schedule your posts accordingly. This is kind of a “set it and forget it” way of structuring your content. However, don’t forget to go back to your posts and engage your audience.
The last thing people want to notice, is that they’re taking time to read your posts and you as the author aren’t taking time to respond in-kind. It’s just called common courtesy in my opinion :-).
Batching blogging (or creating) takes time and even practice. But if you remain consistent, it’ll soon become second nature. It’ll also help you become more likely to release meaningful content on a consistent basis.
